Attacked by a bear

Little helper

Yes, Rafael is strapping Lucas into his chair. The past week or so he has been playing with the buckles. Today I thought I'd try put it to good use.

Par-que

I was confident enough of his abilities to take this photo while pushing him on the swing and wearing Lucas.

First roll(s)

One day shy of six months and Lucas has figured out how to roll from front to back...

...and now back to front!

Laughing Lucas

First night free

You may be able to spot Rafa hidden among his stuffed animals. He slept well for his first night not in the crib.

Sous chef

So proud of Rafa for not touching the stove, kettle, or toaster, all of which were on and within range.

Answer: Kuka lechuga

The question was, "Rafa, what are you doing?"

Fortunately Rafa did not feed his brother lettuce. Apparently he likes it too much to share.

Reading already?

He pointed to his toast and said, "D, dada!"

Trying to pick up Lucas

Rafael still thinks that he can pick up Lucas, he just needs to try harder.

Another milestone for Lucas!

At 5 1/2 months he has reached the age/size that perfect strangers feel comfortable critiquing my parenting skills.

Highlights of the past three days include (my internal response is in parenthesis):
  • Where's his hat? (In my hand since his brother keeps on taking it off)
  • Why isn't he wearing shoes? (He has socks on, but no shoes since he can't even sit up on his own, much less walk)
  • The sun is in his eyes! (No, it's not)
  • He's hungry, you should feed him. (He just ate)
  • He's too hot! (He's fine)
  • He's too cold! (He's fine!)

And my absolute favorite...
When Lucas was in the double stroller with Rafael...

Are they the same age?  (15.5 lbs, 25 inches, and cooing versus 24 lbs, 33 inches, and conversing with everyone in sight, do I really need to answer that?)
